REGULAR ANNUAL EVENTS
WOW! (Week of Welcome): a whole week of activities to get your year off to a fabulous start!
International Festival: UNC Charlotte’s longest running tradition, held the last Saturday of every September in the Student Activity Center and immediate outside area…food, music, dancing, sights, smells, native costumes and fun! It’s even more fun to be part of the festivities — give a couple hours volunteer time. You’ll be glad you did (and the free T-shirt and lots of “thank-yous” is nice too!)
Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration: Join us as we remember one of this country’s great leaders, and honor his contributions. Sponsored by the Multicultural Resource Center, this program is held annually in mid January.
Homecoming: A week’s worth of events that celebrate UNC Charlotte’s spirit, tradition and of course, great basketball!
Greek Step Show: This is a wildly popular program you won’t want to miss! Contact either Greek Life in the Dean of Students Office or Multicultural Resource Center for more information.
Heritage Week Celebrations: Celebrate and learn about a variety of cultures through these special weeks, sponsored by student organizations and supported through the Multicultural Resource Center. Featured are heritage celebrations such as Latin American and Native American, Black History, Women’s History and others as initiated by student interest. These events occur throughout the year. Contact the Multicultural Resource Center for more information.
